Your Inherent Goodness

For those of us who had a religious upbringing this can be a sensitive or even overstated notion.  Growing up Catholic I heard a mix of two messages:  One, you are never humbled enough to please God and must continually do all you can to please the Higher Power, and two, God loves you, always and unconditionally.  Sounds like a contradiction to me!

If you also grew up with this contradiction you may have experienced the same uncertainty whenever you prayed for anything.  In the back of your mind you heard yourself asking, "Am I good enough?" 

Today, however, as a person free from religion but still steeped in sprirituality I finally have the freedom to see with my own eyes the truth about our inherent goodness in the eyes of the Divine.  And it only makes sense!  To know that you are the perfect creation of a perfect being is to know that you are always and ever perfectly loved.  Religion likes to teach you that you aren't good enough and must behave accordingly to earn God's love and a place in Heaven.  But the truth is that no matter who you are or what you do at any time in life Divine Source can not help but love you always. 

Imagine it this way.  If you were the Divine Source and you wanted to experience expansion of your Divine Self, you would create more of your self and make each part unique so it could interact with all the other parts.  But the part must come from you, not be created from something outside of you.  So, you take pieces of yourself and like a hair clipping or skin folicle and from that small piece you create an entire being who is made of you.  It contains your Divine essence and your Divine goodness.  It is more than just a creation it is a part of you that can never be anything but what you are, Divine.  And the Divine is perfect.  Now ask yourself, could you ever not love this being?  It is beyond just giving birth to a soul, it is giving birth to your Divine self.  Therefore, the Divine can not help but love each and every one of us because we are of its Divine self.  We are in existance not to live separate from our Divine Source but to experience every unique part of God through each and every other Divine part (or person) Source has created.  And in doing so, in experiencing our selves and others God is experiencing growth and expansion in each and every one of us. 

So though you may think you are alone, or that each of your experiences in this world are yours alone, think again.  Source is with you through everything.  There is no separation.  There never has been.  That is merely the illusion because we need the illusion in order to feel we are separate from the other parts (people) that Source has created for the purpose of this expansion.  And no matter what we experience, no matter how good or how bad we perceive it to be, it is all growth in the eyes of the Divine.  Source can only see each experience as good because all experiences allow for growth, learning and understanding of God's own Divine self. 

Now, understanding that you are now and always have been one with Divine Source, can you possibly see how it is totally impossible for God not to love you just as you are?  There is no way God can not love you!  The truth of who we really are makes it impossible for any other situation.  Source will always be one with each of us and will always love us because we are Source.  There is no separation. 

When you ask Source, or your own higher self, for anything you must ask with pure faith in knowing your inherent goodness.  Of course you are entitled to anything you ask for because it is this simple; when you desire something for your experience and growth it is God within you who desires it.  All you have to do is allow it into your experience.  To do that you must know and believe with everything within you that God is one with you and your desire and gives it to you freely. 

You are inherently good.  You can't help that.  It is your birthright.  No matter what choices you have made in this life, no matter how you think you might have screwed up, Source is still growing through your experiences.  This is not to say that we are all saints!!!  Yes, there are some very dark souls out there but even because of them God knows why we do what we do.  To understand every part of the human experience God must be present in each of us during even times of darkness to see why we would turn away from our own goodness.  How else can Source know everything?

But this is about knowing who you are and knowing where you come from.  If you know in your heart that you are truly and completely connected to Source at all times and in all ways your mind will begin to focus on that relationship and as you focus on it, it grows and expands within you.  As this expansion happens you will begin to see life very differently.  You will see yourself as God sees you and you will begin to come to know you true self.  Which is the most important part of all of this.  Ask for what you will from Source and ask knowing you will receive it.  But the most essential lesson here is not in receiving what you call forth, it is in knowing your true self.  Know without any doubts YOU ARE DIVINE.  Then start living in this knowledge and see the miracles you create!

No begging!

When people pray they often ask a God that they imagine exists outside of themselves, floating up high on some throne, sitting in judgement of their request.  Then they start begging, pleading, and making deals with this absentee God for help.  This is a big mistake.  Let me explain.

First, the Divine Source does not exist outside of you.  When you are asking, praying or even using affirmations the key is to realize that the Source you ask is within you, has always been within you, and is probably the one who gave you the desire in the first place.  To imagine that God is outside of you creates a lack of connection and forces you to plead and supplicate this God for favors. 

Second, when you ask God for help in any way you must be willing to have faith.  If you ask without faith it won't matter how hard you pray, how much you pray or what you offer to do in exchange for an answer to your prayers.  Your beliefs directly affect what comes into your experience, miracles included!  When you beg and plead you are showing a lack of faith in your own Divine soul and your ability to deserve what you are asking for. 

When it comes to money most people are hesitant to ask for help.  And then when they do they say, "Only enough to get by."  And still they feel guilty asking for that much and then begin to bargain with God.  "If you could just help me pay my bills this month I promise I will...."  And when they pray for the health of another they make all kinds of bargains!  Joseph Murphy talks of a man who constantly said he'd give his right arm to see his daughter healed from her ailment and don't you know, in a freak accident the man lost his right arm and his daughter was miraculously healed?  True story!

But the main truth is this; God exists within you and your desire for an improved life comes from the Divine Source within you so stop assuming you have to "talk" God into giving in to your prayers.  By begging and pleading and bargaining you show a lack of faith in your own miracle.  Every miracle begins when faith is given first.  First.  That is the most important part.  Begging only blocks your miracle from coming.  To open the way you must open the doors of disbelief within you. 

Next, realize that what you ask for, whether money, a solution to debt, a healing, whatever, is easy peasy pudding pie for God to create in the blink of an eye!  It may seem impossible to you, it may seem like it will take a long time and a lot of prayers, but for God anything can be accomplished.  Do not forget who created you, this world and everything in it!  YES!  This is God's creation!  Our entire Universe, this dimension, this whole world is God's creation and everything in it can be easily manipulated by its own Creator.  When we trust in God to do the job we ask for, in faith, we are openly allowing for the manifestion of our desire. 

And here is the final truth; All miracles flow THROUGH US!  God can not create through you if you have all your inner doors shut tight with the expectation that you haven't done enough, arent' deserving enough, or haven't prayed enough to get your miracle.  YOU are the only one who stands in the way of your own miracles.  And YOU are the only one who can allow the miracle in. 

So, next time you ask for help of any kind,
#1 realize you are perfectly deserving of your request.  God knows your desire comes from the Divine Source within and will NEVER stand in the way of your desire.
#2 have faith your request is already in creation by a God who loves you and will always give to you what you expect to receive in perfect faith. 
#3 get out of the way of your own request.  Open all the channels within you to allow your miracle to flow in through you.  God will work through you in amazing ways when you have perfect faith in your receiving.  Don't worry about the how, just concentrate on the "allow."

It can be hard to remember that God loves you and wants you to be happy when you live in a world that seems to be better at giving hardships than happiness.  Do not make the mistake of assuming that God wants you to struggle or be unhappy.  We came to this world to be the creators and God simply sits back and gives us what we expect in perfect faith.  Most of us expect the bad over the good thinking we must earn the good by pleasing a God that sits on high.  But God does not sit on high, God, or Divine Source, exists in you.  That's how loved you are!  So next time you ask, ask knowing you are truly, deeply, and unconditionally loved by the One Source.  No begging needed. 

A Metaphysical View of Money

This morning I channeled some words of advice on money from my higher self.  Sometimes all we need to do is change the way we look at things, get a new perspective, in order to clear our minds for better results.  This is what came through.

Money is a Divine Idea

To say that there is not enough money for everyone in the world is wrong.  To say that we are limited in how much we can make or how much we deserve for a service is wrong.  How can there be any limits to that which is a creation of the Divine which is limitless. 

Money is matter.  It is a creation that stems from the mind of the Creator, each of us being the Creator!  How much or how little we have is only a result of our subconscious beliefs about it.  Some, who believe it to be bad, or evil, will struggle with it throughout their lives as it is a necessary “evil” regardless.  But money itself carries no characteristics of good or bad.  It is a means by which we exchange goods.  It can not influence us towards good or bad actions as there are technically NO good or bad actions.  All that we do on this plane of existence is for our growth and expansion as higher beings.  We learn from every experience and, though most of us do not remember agreeing to go through such things, we do get what we need from each and every experience.  Therefore, there is no such thing as good or bad.  It is all relative.  As is money.

Money is merely a form of matter that can be pulled or expelled from a person during their life time.  It is an expression of what that person is going through mentally at that time period.  If they are suffering feelings of lack and limitation in their self expression then their financial funds are also affected by their mindset of lack and limitation.  But, when one opens themselves up to opportunities and allows for creative flow into their lives, seeing no lack or limitation in their creative abilities, money can not help but flow towards them for they are now experiencing abundance of thought. 

Knowing this, try to see money as a Divine Idea.  It is an expression of your thought processes that flows in and out of life like the tides of your emotions.  Do not be fearful for when the tides are low.  Simply notice it as a sign that your thoughts have been limited and change your thinking to allow the flow to enter once again.  To open the doors of your creative expression use positive affirmations and decree that the Infinite Spirit now opens the way for your divine expression and abundance.

Affirmation for Obstacles

Sometimes the best way to remove an obstacle is to give it up to God, or whatever you choose to call the Divine Source.  I really like this affirmation.

I cast this burden on the Divine Source (God) within and I go free!

Just remember one very important thing.  Never EVER focus on a problem.  To focus on anything will only bring more of it.  I feel for the whole world knowing this essential truth.  Too many people focus on the problems of the world AND EVEN WORSE spend their time bringing it to EVERYONE'S attention!  THIS IS A HUGE NO-NO! 

By focusing on any problem you are essentially telling the Universe you want more of it!  Stop it!  Focus on what you do want ONLY!  Don't try to find a solution.  That's not your job.  You must give over the problem ENTIRELY into the hands of the Divine and trust that it will bring about the solution in Divine Order.  Don't ever try to control how things are to be fixed.  Just give it up and let it go.  Focus all of your attention on the final result you want to see.  See it clearly.  Spend time picturing it and really feeling it.  You can create a peaceful world!  Spread light not darkness, friends!

Today's Affirmation

I am reading many different affirmations, and even teaching a class this April called Power Affirmations at the library.  But I can't help but want to share some of these with you along with some secrets to making them work.

There are a great deal of affirmations out there for manifesting money but what if you're in need of a specific amount of money?  This affirmation is thanks to Florence Scovel Shinn:

Infinite Spirit, I give thanks that ____ dollars, which is mine by divine right, is now released and reaches me in divine order.

Never EVER fear asking for money.  Nor should you beg or beseech as that shows a lack of faith that you are 1. deserving of it, and 2. that God exists within you.  Most people have trouble asking for money as they think it is not something they are allowed to ask for, that they must convince God or some divine being that they are deserving of it.  They try to make "deals" or bargains in an effort to make themselves look better in the eyes of God.  But not once do they ever consider that God is within them MAKING THE REQUEST!  YES!  It is not "you" separate from "God" asking for this better situation, it IS the God within you that asks!  So, go ahead and call it forth from your own divine creation center.  It is you that must give yourself permission to make it manifest.  And it is only ever you that stands in your way.  God, or the Divine Source, is only waiting for you to tell it what you want.  The Universe is always waiting at your beck and call.  Never again doubt that you are deserving of anything you ask for, as it always a request from the divine source within you. 

It's all about Perception!

One of the greatest lessons I'm learning is about the problem of perception.  Many of us have people in our lives who are difficult.  We log onto FB and complain about so-and-so and bitch and bitch and bitch to our hearts content.  BUT, does that actually change anything?  No.  Does it make us feel better?  For a little while.  Of course we like having our friends and family take our sides in any situation.  But the problem is, for all the people in the world who might agree with you, who might say, "YES, we agree!  He/She is a total ass and you are in the right!" it STILL DOESN'T CHANGE THE PROBLEM!!! 

So, ask yourself this, am I ready to change this situation or do I want to continue to sit on my pity pot and moan? 

If you are ready to create a change the very first thing you must do is change yourself.  There is no way around this.  You can try to force a change upon someone (whether you love them or hate them) and you will go blue in the face holding your breath.  There is no way to change another person!  NONE!  ...but...

If you can learn to change yourself, your perception of so-and-so, how you respond and react to their continued behaviors, (get this!) THEY CAN'T HELP BUT CHANGE!!!

Yes, the secret to changing all of your relationships is to first change how you see it.  Really!  Think about it.  If you approach someone in anger, trying to force your will upon them, do you really think they're just going to bow down to you and say "Oh, yes, you are absolutely right!  I am wrong.  I will do it your way."?  Not likely.  I know damned well I wouldn't!
But, if you can look at this person and see them as (and I KNOW you're not going to like this!) a Divine soul with every right to live their experience in their way, and (sorry again!) BLESS them instead of curse them, they will not be able to resist.  Why?

Well, when you are at peace with another your vibrating at a higher level.  When you are angry and hurtful you are vibrating at a lower level.  The other person will only match your vibration.  You can't ever expect them to respond at a higher vibration than you are willing to give out... unless, of course, they were a Saint!
But once you raise your vibration they have to raise theirs in order to meet you at your level.  They can not continue to fight and argue if you are litterally above fighting and arguing!  So where are you in this?  How are you vibrating?  Are you giving off anger or acceptance? 

There is a very simple way to overcome your own lower vibes.  Simply state, over and over, "I salute the Divinity in you."  And, mean it!  This is not giving them permission to walk all over you, nor does it say you allow them to treat you ill, it simply means, I see the Divine in you and I respect your higher self.  It will help them to rise to their own higher vibrations.  Sometimes it's hard to see our way to our own higher thoughts when someone keeps pulling us back down into our earthy minds and limited thinking.  When you rise above, they rise above.  But you've got to go first. 

There are so many people I know who would benefit from this if they chose to use it.  How others treat us, from bosses, to fellow employees, to neighbors, friends and loved ones, all can benefit from a change in how you see them.  It's all about perception. 

Coming to...

It seems we are all experiencing an awakening of some sort.  For some of us it comes easily, naturally, as if floating down a river.  And for some of us it comes in bits and pieces, some that are not easily swallowed.  On my particular journey I've experienced both rides and I admit that I am living in a world that is completely new to me yet it was there all along.  Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees!

But in this new world I am finding such essential truths that I can't help but want to share them with everyone!  "Oh, wouldn't that just help so-and-so?"  And, "I know blankety-blank would find this useful in her situation!"  But the problem here is, once again, we are all taking this journey at our own rate and who am I to try to speed others along?  But I feel like I'm biting my tongue by not sharing my wonderous discoveries!  So, to ease my sore tongue and offer an opportunity for those who are ready and willing to further their existential journey I decided to try a blog.  If you want to learn it, learn it together with me.  If you don't, just go back to your Facebook page and your Farmville and ignore me.  I'll still be here and the knowledge will still be out there when you are ready for something more... when you are ready to awaken.
